Job Title: FIT STEP PRO DEPARTMENT SALES ASSOCIATE

Department Description: Using cutting edge materials, high-end technological analysis, and a free one-on-one personal exam; DSW has partnered with Fit Step Pro to provide insoles specifically customized for our clients’ feet. Our specialist staff consult with customers in this way, to identify their unique needs and requirements, in efficiently delivering this personalized service and product in-store – all while the customer waits. Fit Step Pro promotes correct shoe-sizing, balance and an active lifestyle; and believes that properly managed foot-care will increase overall health and wellness. This is built on the commitment to outstanding customer service and convenience, at an affordable price. Fit Step Pro currently operates within the three Columbus DSW stores.

General Summary: The Department Supervisor must display a level of entrepreneurship within a team environment. The role involves implementing action plans that meet service expectations while partnering with the corporate management team to understand daily/weekly/monthly store priorities. You will receive exceptional and unique training on foot anatomy, coaching, leadership and selling tactics to drive business; presenting an excellent opportunity to grow a varied skill-set. In addition to engaging, consulting, analyzing, and fitting potential and existing FSP customers; our Department Supervisors are required to motivate and lead a team, helping develop a start-up initiative that has outstanding potential. The package includes a basic salary plus a significant commission incentive. Salary: Guaranteed Base Hourly plus Commission

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer Service, Sales and Engagement – Engage and greet shoe lovers within store and provide information regarding Fit Step Pro (FSP). Drive sales by performing complimentary foot examination and consultation, suggest appropriate insoles for the customer to purchase and engage in one-to-one selling. Adjust customers insoles as needed. In addition to this-hands on FSP service, follow the DSW customer service model as appropriate. Direct non FSP customer enquiries to DSW store management or staff as appropriate. Maintain client follow up and client book after sale service.
Cashiering, Cash Handling and Checkout – Ring up customer transactions while following the DSW cash handling policies and register procedures. Count money, make change, verify amount, and issue receipts. Read and interpret price ticket information, operate a calculator, and enter data via terminal keyboard. Explain DSW VIP program while ensuring thorough service, during check out process.
Returns – Follow customer return policy guidelines, including addressing client return concerns, considering adjustments where necessary or requested, product exchange the and/or process returns as applicable.
Area & Store Operations – Maintain a clean and organized area. Open & close FSP shop per store guidelines. Submit daily shift report as per guidelines.
Merchandising – Partner with warehouse team to collect FSP merchandise from delivery truck and organize in FSP booth. Maintain back stock organized in DSW stockroom.
Loss Prevention – Follow all loss prevention policies and procedures.
Personal Development – Actively participate in daily huddles and ongoing training, being open and responsive to coaching and feedback.
Other Duties – Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Outstanding customer service and selling skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Ability to learn the essential foot anatomy, ailments, and their causes
Ability to understand customer insole requirements relative to foot anatomy, ailments etc
Be motivated, show initiative and work within a team
Willing to embrace individual and team goals & targets
Enjoy customer interaction, consultation and sales process
Demonstrate knowledge of FSP store products and services and use this knowledge to build sales
Available to work nights, weekends and different Columbus store locations
Possess entrepreneurial outlook and start up mentality
Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Display professionalism, friendliness and respect

Minimum Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum two years of selling experience in a retail environment or business

Education:
Minimum H.S. Diploma
